2010 News:
At the St Paul North Star Herding Speciality Fen goes BOB under judge Linda A. Friedow and won a
Group 3 under judge Helen Lee James. Abby also qualified both days in Open A obedience. One
more leg needed for AKC and ASCA.
2009 Show News:
After the first of the year we'll hit the St Paul show and another UMASCA in January and then it's
off to Westminister. We made it in!!!!
At the last UMASCA show Sunday December 13, 2009 Fen took BOS with Katie under breeder judge
Tina Smith Lass. Abby competed in open obedience by NQ'd after a nice run by missing a jump. She
has all the exercise down but we need to pull it all together at the same time. We are getting close.
Katie and I sent our entry into Westminister and we are hoping to get in. Katie will also be taking
Tory the Toller who is now ranked as the #1 toller in the country after winning her national speciality.
Fen takes Breed at the Mpls Kennel Club show on Saturday November 21st under judge Jacqueline
Stacy shown by Katie Kupfer. This was a very large 4 point show and there were 5 very nice specials
competing that day.
Fen finished his CD at the MASC show on November 15th under judge Kitty Mohs and Abby NQ's
twice that day but showed beautifully trying to get her CDX.
October 10th and 11th 2009 Fen and Katie took breed at the Mason City AKC show under judges
Prof Douglass Taylor and Edweena (Teddy) McDowell respectively. We are going to focus on ASCA
obedience a bit more for the remaining part of the year and hit the Mpls AKC show in November.
September 2009 Katie, Fen, Abby and I headed to ASCA Nationals at the end of September. We had a
great week competing in obedience, breed and Katie was trailing Levi on ducks. Fen Q'd two times in
Novice obedience and Abby placed 3rd at the Nationals Obedience Trial in Open A after NQing a
couple times. I was very pleased with how she worked all week and we'll get that CDX soon. Our big
news was the Fen Premiered (10) with Katie at the Nationals under Judge Barb Peters. Watch for
pictures coming soon. We are so proud of our boy!
September 12th Fen took the day off from breed and showed in novice with a score of 190 under judge
Thomas Masterson at the Rochester Kennel Club show. This was a nice tune up for nationals. Abby
NQ'd in open missing her go over the high jump but I was pleased with her other elements. She did Q
in rally novice under judge Sharon Hodgen-Wood. On Sunday Sept 13th Fen took breed under judge
Dale D. Simmons with Katie showing him so beautifully.
August 22, 2009 Fen take Best Of Breed at the St Croix Kennel Club under Judge Deborah J. Wilkins
and on August 23, 2009 under judge Mr. Dana P. Cline handled both days by Katie Kupfer. Katie and
I are getting ready for ASCA Nationals to be held in Greeley CO. Abby, Fen and Katie's dog Levi will
be traveling out there to spend the week. We'll be working in obedience, herding, MVA, and breed.
My neice will be going to show in JR's. for the first three pre-shows which will be very exciting. Hope
to see good friends there and enjoy a whole week with the dogs.
July 2009 Fen and Abby are brushing up on obedience skills getting ready to hit the ring at Nationals
in Sept. Abby will be competing in open and Fen in novice. We'll be doing some work in AKC as part
of our work getting ready.
July 10th, 11th and 12th , 2009 Fen goes to the Duluth show camping with Katie and our friend Cindy
who owns Tory the Toller. Tory is currently the number 1 Toller in the country and Katie has been
specialing her as well as brother Chase. Fen went best of breed all three days under Judge James G.
Reynolds, Judge Jean Fournier, and Judge Judith Goodin respectively.
Friday June 19, 2009 Fen goes BOB under judge Mrs. Roberta L. Campbell at the Anoka County
Kennel Club show in Cambridge shown by his camping buddy Katie Kupfer. Fen had a great weekend
hanging out with his Toller friends Tory and Chase. Fen learned to retrieve the bumper showing the
Tollers they aren't the only retrievers around the camp. Thank you Cindy and Katie!!
Wonderful news - Saturday June 6, 2009 Abby goes winners bitch, best of winners and best opposite
to really finish her AKC CH. under judge Mary Lee Winnie handled by Katie Kupfer. We are thrilled
Abby finished since we mis- counted points and need to get the our girl back out there. The judge said
to Katie she has the most beautiful expression .... Fen is so happy for his mom as well!!
On the way home from Nationals we stopped over at Rock Island, IL. where Katie and Fen took breed
Saturday May 9, 2009 under judge Mr. Carl Gene Liepmann and Sunday May 10, 2009 under judge
Mrs. June A. Penta.
Fen goes back to WI. with Katie to take breed on Friday May 1, 2009 at the Badger Kennel Club show
in Jefferson, WI. under judge Mrs. Evie Sullivan. Abby also took winners bitch for one point under
this judge on May 1st. Abby has one point to go and she will be finished with AKC championship.
We thought we finished her last year but I mis-counted points.
Fen goes with Katie to the Heart of Iowa in Marshaltown and took breed Saturday Apr 25th under
judge Ms. Jacqueline L. Stacy and Sunday Apr 26th under judge Mr. Brian Meyer. Fen and Katie had
a big weekend even in the rain and cold...

Saturday and Sunday Feb 28, 2009 and March 1, 2009 Fen took Best of Breed at the Wisconsin
Kennel Club show in West Allis, WI under judges Ms. Denise Dean and Mr. John Waldrop
respectively handled beautifully by Katie Kupfer. My niece Sydney won her Junior Novice Class
with competition to move to Open Juniors. Way to go Syd!!!!
Sunday February 15, 2009 Fen goes Best of Breed under judge Edweena (Teddy) McDowell at the
Keomah Kennel Club show in Des Moines, IA. with Katie Kupfer over several very nice specials.
Saturday January 3, 2009 Fen goes best of breed at the St Paul Land of Lakes AKC show during a
herding speciality weekend under judge Linda C. More and then goes Group 1 under judge Paula
Hartinger for our biggest win ever handled beautifully by Katie Kupfer. On Sunday Jan 4th Fen goes
best opposite under judge Pat Hastings handled by his best girl Katie Kupfer! Watch for more news
from Katie and Fen in 2009..... Also, Steph and Abby will be competing for her CDX and Fen will be
woring on his CD as well.
2008 Show News:
Sunday December 14, 2008 Fen has a big finish for the year by going Best of Breed under Judge Diana McCarty at the
UMASC show winning over 8 lovely specials. Fen was handled by his best buddy Katie Kupfer.
Sunday December 7, 2008 Fen goes Best of Breed in St Cloud at the Granite City show under Judge James J. Ham and
handled beautifully by Katie Kupfer.
Saturday October 12, 2008 Fennigan in his first outing as a special at the Mason City Kennel Club goes Best Of Breed
under Judge Linnea Linn Klingel and Group 2 in the herding group under Judge Linda L. Robey handled beautifully by
Katie Kupfer. Fenn is now a multiple group placer at 20 months. We are very excited about our boy and hope to special
him in a limited manner - giving him some time to grow up. Watch for Fenn and Steph in the obedience ring over the
coming year and his Mom Abby will be working on her CDX title as well.
Sunday September 28, 2008 Fennigan finishes his AKC championship with four majors out of the Bred By Classes by
going Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed over a special at the Rockford-Freeport Kennel Club under judge
Henry L. Gregory handled by Katie Kupfer. This is Katie and Steph's first Bred By Champion.

Rockford-Freeport Kennel Club under judge Carl Gene Liepmann and Group Two in the Bred-by -Exibitor competition

May 2008 - Huge wins for Fennigan at the Badger Kennel Club in Jefferson WI May 2, 3, and 4th! Friday Fenn goes WD
for a three point major and then took BOB. Fenn's mom Abby also took WB for 2 points to finish her AKC
championship!. Fenn and Abby were handled with love by Katie Kupfer and judged by Mr. Eric Ringle. On Saturday Fenn
took WD again for a 3 point major and the BOB! Fenn was handled by Katie and judged by Ms. Terri Lyddon. The
show had a Best Breed By event which Fenn won because he took breed. Fenn went to Best Bred By group and took a
Group 1 Bred By judged by Mr. Eugene Blake. On Sunday Fenn again took WD for a 3 point major and then went Breed
judged by Mr. Thomas Fenels. To top the weekend Fenn took a Group 3 in groups along side other very nice placements
beautifully handled by Katie and judged by Mr. Thomas Fenels.
Fennigan has four Best of Breed wins by fourteen months in ASCA!
April 2008 at AKC Nationals Fennigan took third place in the 12-15 month Sweep Class judged by Mrs Tiffany Levin
Almeroth.
March 1, 2008 at the UMASCA show in Hugo Fennigan goes Best of Breed under Judge Jim Hamm over 10 specials and
a five point major show. Then on Sunday March 2, 2008 Fennigan goes Best Opposite under Judge Patricia Jung. Both
days Fenn was expertly handled and loved by Katie Kupfer. Fenn got "liver" for the first time and loved it in the ring.
January 15, 2008 Today I recieved Simon's CDX title in the mail. I miss counted his legs and did not even realize he got
his CDX in November when he qualified at the UMASCA show. We are so excited to have this obedience title.
January 12, 2008 Fennigan becomes Heartland's first Bred By Champion by taking Winners Dog, Best of Winners and
Best of Breed under Judge Susan Peterson at the UMASCA show for a three point major over 4 specials. Fen was handled
by Sarah Patterson and Ashley Roeser and we appreciate their help so much. Then at the second UMASCA show that day
Fennigan took Best of Breed under judge Dennis Stotereau his first time out as a special handled by Ashley Roeser. Fen
earned his championship with 4 major wins for 5, 5, 3,and 3 points respectively.
January 5, 2008 Simon got his second leg in Rally Novice under judge Kathleen Galotti handled by me.
January 4, 2008 Fen goes reserve winners dog at the Northstar Herding Speciality (5 pt major) under Judge Roger Winnie
handled by Katie Kupfer. It was an exciting day because Fen's half sister Felony (owned with Sarah and Kim Patterson
from Medowlawn Aussies) went winners bitch and Sarah's young dog Porter took winners dog. Porter and Fen have been
best buddies so they had a great day together.

in Sept. Abby will be competing in open and Fen in novice. We'll be doing some work in AKC as part
of our work getting ready.
July 10th, 11th and 12th , 2009 Fen goes to the Duluth show camping with Katie and our friend Cindy
who owns Tory the Toller. Tory is currently the number 1 Toller in the country and Katie has been
specialing her as well as brother Chase. Fen went best of breed all three days under Judge James G.
Reynolds, Judge Jean Fournier, and Judge Judith Goodin respectively.
Friday June 19, 2009 Fen goes BOB under judge Mrs. Roberta L. Campbell at the Anoka County
Kennel Club show in Cambridge shown by his camping buddy Katie Kupfer. Fen had a great weekend
hanging out with his Toller friends Tory and Chase. Fen learned to retrieve the bumper showing the
Tollers they aren't the only retrievers around the camp. Thank you Cindy and Katie!!
Wonderful news - Saturday June 6, 2009 Abby goes winners bitch, best of winners and best opposite
to really finish her AKC CH. under judge Mary Lee Winnie handled by Katie Kupfer. We are thrilled
Abby finished since we mis- counted points and need to get the our girl back out there. The judge said
to Katie she has the most beautiful expression .... Fen is so happy for his mom as well!!
On the way home from Nationals we stopped over at Rock Island, IL. where Katie and Fen took breed
Saturday May 9, 2009 under judge Mr. Carl Gene Liepmann and Sunday May 10, 2009 under judge
Mrs. June A. Penta.
Fen goes back to WI. with Katie to take breed on Friday May 1, 2009 at the Badger Kennel Club show
in Jefferson, WI. under judge Mrs. Evie Sullivan. Abby also took winners bitch for one point under
this judge on May 1st. Abby has one point to go and she will be finished with AKC championship.
We thought we finished her last year but I mis-counted points.
Fen goes with Katie to the Heart of Iowa in Marshaltown and took breed Saturday Apr 25th under
judge Ms. Jacqueline L. Stacy and Sunday Apr 26th under judge Mr. Brian Meyer. Fen and Katie had
a big weekend even in the rain and cold...

Saturday and Sunday Feb 28, 2009 and March 1, 2009 Fen took Best of Breed at the Wisconsin
Kennel Club show in West Allis, WI under judges Ms. Denise Dean and Mr. John Waldrop
respectively handled beautifully by Katie Kupfer. My niece Sydney won her Junior Novice Class
with competition to move to Open Juniors. Way to go Syd!!!!
Sunday February 15, 2009 Fen goes Best of Breed under judge Edweena (Teddy) McDowell at the
Keomah Kennel Club show in Des Moines, IA. with Katie Kupfer over several very nice specials.
Saturday January 3, 2009 Fen goes best of breed at the St Paul Land of Lakes AKC show during a
herding speciality weekend under judge Linda C. More and then goes Group 1 under judge Paula
Hartinger for our biggest win ever handled beautifully by Katie Kupfer. On Sunday Jan 4th Fen goes
best opposite under judge Pat Hastings handled by his best girl Katie Kupfer! Watch for more news
from Katie and Fen in 2009..... Also, Steph and Abby will be competing for her CDX and Fen will be
woring on his CD as well.

Sunday December 14, 2008 Fen has a big finish for the year by going Best of Breed under Judge Diana McCarty at the
UMASC show winning over 8 lovely specials. Fen was handled by his best buddy Katie Kupfer.
Sunday December 7, 2008 Fen goes Best of Breed in St Cloud at the Granite City show under Judge James J. Ham and
handled beautifully by Katie Kupfer.
Saturday October 12, 2008 Fennigan in his first outing as a special at the Mason City Kennel Club goes Best Of Breed
under Judge Linnea Linn Klingel and Group 2 in the herding group under Judge Linda L. Robey handled beautifully by
Katie Kupfer. Fenn is now a multiple group placer at 20 months. We are very excited about our boy and hope to special
him in a limited manner - giving him some time to grow up. Watch for Fenn and Steph in the obedience ring over the
coming year and his Mom Abby will be working on her CDX title as well.
Sunday September 28, 2008 Fennigan finishes his AKC championship with four majors out of the Bred By Classes by
going Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed over a special at the Rockford-Freeport Kennel Club under judge
Henry L. Gregory handled by Katie Kupfer. This is Katie and Steph's first Bred By Champion.

May 2008 - Huge wins for Fennigan at the Badger Kennel Club in Jefferson WI May 2, 3, and 4th! Friday Fenn goes WD
for a three point major and then took BOB. Fenn's mom Abby also took WB for 2 points to finish her AKC
championship!. Fenn and Abby were handled with love by Katie Kupfer and judged by Mr. Eric Ringle. On Saturday Fenn
took WD again for a 3 point major and the BOB! Fenn was handled by Katie and judged by Ms. Terri Lyddon. The
show had a Best Breed By event which Fenn won because he took breed. Fenn went to Best Bred By group and took a
Group 1 Bred By judged by Mr. Eugene Blake. On Sunday Fenn again took WD for a 3 point major and then went Breed
judged by Mr. Thomas Fenels. To top the weekend Fenn took a Group 3 in groups along side other very nice placements
beautifully handled by Katie and judged by Mr. Thomas Fenels.
Fennigan has four Best of Breed wins by fourteen months in ASCA!
April 2008 at AKC Nationals Fennigan took third place in the 12-15 month Sweep Class judged by Mrs Tiffany Levin
Almeroth.
March 1, 2008 at the UMASCA show in Hugo Fennigan goes Best of Breed under Judge Jim Hamm over 10 specials and
a five point major show. Then on Sunday March 2, 2008 Fennigan goes Best Opposite under Judge Patricia Jung. Both
days Fenn was expertly handled and loved by Katie Kupfer. Fenn got "liver" for the first time and loved it in the ring.
January 15, 2008 Today I recieved Simon's CDX title in the mail. I miss counted his legs and did not even realize he got
his CDX in November when he qualified at the UMASCA show. We are so excited to have this obedience title.
January 12, 2008 Fennigan becomes Heartland's first Bred By Champion by taking Winners Dog, Best of Winners and
Best of Breed under Judge Susan Peterson at the UMASCA show for a three point major over 4 specials. Fen was handled
by Sarah Patterson and Ashley Roeser and we appreciate their help so much. Then at the second UMASCA show that day
Fennigan took Best of Breed under judge Dennis Stotereau his first time out as a special handled by Ashley Roeser. Fen
earned his championship with 4 major wins for 5, 5, 3,and 3 points respectively.
January 5, 2008 Simon got his second leg in Rally Novice under judge Kathleen Galotti handled by me.
January 4, 2008 Fen goes reserve winners dog at the Northstar Herding Speciality (5 pt major) under Judge Roger Winnie
handled by Katie Kupfer. It was an exciting day because Fen's half sister Felony (owned with Sarah and Kim Patterson
from Medowlawn Aussies) went winners bitch and Sarah's young dog Porter took winners dog. Porter and Fen have been
best buddies so they had a great day together.
